Thanks for writing this, it clarifies alot. It makes me wonder how deep the rabbit hole goes with these algorithms. I'm so passionate about AI, but this paints a very different picture.
Right after I wrote this it came out that they were also using ai for facial recognition. I’m still not 100% sure what the full ins and outs are because they’ve removed their facial recognition policy from their site. So I haven’t written on it yet, I’m still trying to figure out what the policy even is. But the Chicago Sun Times has a really good article about it. -
